Bio

Brady Hirsch is a senior communications strategist at the ACLU of Northern California, where he leverages traditional and digital media tactics to meet the organization's advocacy goals. 

Prior to joining the ACLU, Brady was a fellow at CORO Northern California. During his fellowship, Brady worked with the Foundation for California Community Colleges, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the California State Coastal Conservancy, and the ACLU’s Reproductive Justice Team. 

Brady also interned at the Center for Investigative Reporting, where he helped to uncover opiate prescription abuse by the Department of Veteran Affairs.

Brady graduated with highest honors from Williams College with a bachelors in political science and economics. He was the general manager of the Williams College radio station, and still has a soft spot for student run radio. 

Brady is an activist, organizer, and avid reader who likes to roam the Bay Area, cook, journal, debate Torah, and mess with his dogs.

Records of Sexual Abuse Unsealed at a Federal Prison

The ACLU Foundation of Northern California and Public Justice intervened to unseal records records related to decades of sexual abuse at a federal prison in Dublin. If the Bureau of Prisons is to be held accountable, there must be full and complete transparency as the cases against it proceed.
