Hannah Beazley (she/her)

Bio

Hannah Beazley is an investigator at the ACLU of Northern California, where she provides investigative support to advance the ACLU of Northern California’s work on the rights of unhoused people and criminal justice reform.

Prior to joining the ACLU, Hannah worked as a Senior Capital Defense Investigator at the Habeas Corpus Resource Center for over 7 years. In this role she conducted mitigation and guilt investigation on behalf of indigent clients under the sentence of death in California. She is trained in trauma-informed interviewing, open-source internet investigation, and legal documentation, and has trained staff and presented at conferences on investigative best practices.

Before joining the legal field in 2018, she worked as a raft guide, dog sled musher, ski instructor and whiskey distiller in the Roaring Fork Valley in Colorado. She is a graduate of Connecticut College where she did a double major in Philosophy and Psychology for which she received a bachelor’s degree. She is currently on a quest to find the best al pastor burrito in the East Bay.
