Leslie Fulbright

Communications Strategist

Bio

Leslie Fulbright is a Communications Strategist at the ACLU of Northern California, where she works to increase the visibility of the ACLU’s fight for civil rights through storytelling, writing, and working with clients, lawyers, and reporters.

Prior to joining the ACLU, Leslie was a journalist. She worked at the Seattle Times and the Oakland Tribune before landing at the San Francisco Chronicle. As the African-American Affairs reporter, she covered issues ranging from gentrification to the death penalty to HIV/AIDS.

Leslie has a bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University and a master’s degree from the University of Oregon. Both are in journalism.
