Staying Safe During the Super Bowl

February 3, 2026
Know your rights and stay safe in case of a federal law enforcement surge at and around the Super Bowl in Santa Clara.

Whether you’re planning to attend this Sunday’s Super Bowl, hang outside the stadium to hear Bad Bunny perform at halftime, join an anti-ICE protest nearby, or you’re just worried about the possibility of an increased federal or police presence in the Bay Area, you should make sure you know your rights and take steps to keep yourself safe.

We will not be silenced by ICE or anyone else in uniform. But we do need to be aware of how we navigate in this climate to keep ourselves and each other safe.

ICE and Border Patrol agents have been trampling people's rights, sometimes with deadly results. So, it’s crucial to remember that even though you have legal rights, you must use good judgment in deciding when to exercise them. If a federal agent or law enforcement officer starts acting in an aggressive way toward you, it might not be wise or safe to assert your rights in that moment.
